How it Works

Hopper™ is an innovative electronic finder that attaches to your existing telescope. It uses an integrated camera to look at the sky where your telescope is pointed, and uses the powerful Cedar™ software to instantly analyze star patterns to pinpoint your telescope's exact position in the night sky. Hopper helps you move your telescope toward your selected target with confidence.

How to Use Hopper

1. Download the Cedar Aim app to your iOS or Android phone or tablet.

2. Mount Hopper to your telescope.

3. Connect your mobile device to Hopper's dedicated WiFi network.

4. Open the Cedar Aim app.

5. Browse the comprehensive Cedar Sky database of celestial objects visible from your location.

6. Select your target, and follow the intuitive directional guidance to put your chosen object into the center of your telescope's view.
